This year’s Fado Festival in Madrid begins on April 22 with a concert by the Alvorada trio (pictured) at 7 pm at CaixaForum Madrid. The Portuguese guitar trio will perform songs by Carlos Paredes, in the year that celebrates the centenary of his birth. On 3 and 4 May, fadistas Fábia Rebordão (20 hours) and Katia Guerreiro (19 hours) will perform at the Teatro Albéniz – Umusic Hotel.
Fábia Rebordão has already visited some of the world’s most important venues such as the legendary Carnegie Hall in New York, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the CCK in Buenos Aires, or the Teatro Real de Madrid, among many others. Now he returns to Madrid, to the Fado Festival, for a unique concert to present his new album.
For her part, Katia Guerreiro is recognized as one of the most important fadistas of the new millennium and, above all, as an ambassador of fado and Portugal in the most diverse international cultural circles.
