This latest issue of the magazine edited by the Franklin Institute – UAH, collects the return of Donald Trump to the presidency of the United States, the implications of his second term, the consolidation of his political power, internal and external tensions and their projection at national and international level.
This meeting, co-organized between Casa de América and the Instituto Franklin of the University of Alcalá de Henares and with the collaboration of the Fundación Consejo España – USA and the Aspen Institute Spain, will address the migratory, social and inclusion policies that will mark the course of the United States, with special attention to the impact on minorities, including the Hispanic community. An essential debate to understand the challenges facing millions of people in the United States, in a constantly changing political and social context.
After a welcome speech by León de la Torre, director general of Casa de América, José Antonio Sanahuja, professor of International Relations at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid will participate in the event; Justin Gest, Professor of Politics and Government at the Schar School of George Mason University, and María Martín, journalist for El País.
