Next Thursday, 10 April, at 8 pm, the Instituto Italiano de Cultura in Madrid offers a new appointment of its cycle In scena a Palazzo, with a concert by renowned pianist Gabriele Strata.
Gabriele Strata is making his mark on the music scene as one of the most interesting pianists of his generation. Trained at the piano schools of Boris Berman and Benedetto Lupo, obtained the Master of Music and the Master of Musical Arts at the prestigious Yale University at only 19 years old, the Artist Diploma at the Guildhall School of Music in London in 2023, and the diploma of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, obtaining the highest qualifications, cum laude and the honorable mention granted only to another pianist in the history of the Academy.
Performs regularly on prestigious stages in Italy and abroad, such as the Berliner Philharmonie with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester, the Barbican Centre and the Cadogan Hall in London, the Teatro La Fenice in Venice with the Orchestra of the Teatro La Fenice, St. David’s Hall in Cardiff with the Cardiff Philharmonic, the National Centre for Performing Arts in Mumbai with the Symphony Orchestra of India, collaborating with conductors such as Umberto Benedetti Michelangeli, Roberto Tibiriçá, Baldur Brönnimann, Andreas Wittmann, Michael Bell, Hans Richter. With a repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary music, he has performed recitals in some of the most renowned concert halls.
The concert programme will be entirely based on the music of Frédéric Chopin (1810-1849), with his Notturno Op. 27 n. 2 in C major, Mazurka Op. 30 n. 3 in D major, Studio Op. 25 n. 10 in B minor, Studio Op. 10 n. 5 in G major, Scherzo Op. 39 n. 3 in C Sosteniso Minor and the Sonata Op. 35 n. 2 in B flat minor. Gabriele Strata will also perform the Polonesa Op. 44 in F Minor.
