The Diplomat
Last Thursday, the Iranian Embassy sent a wreath of flowers to the burning chapel in memory of the two firefighters who died on April 2 in a fire in a garage in the Madrid town of Alcorcón.
Members of the Iranian diplomatic delegation personally delivered a letter from Ambassador Reza Zabib to the comrades of the deceased, expressing his condolences and condolences to the families of the two victims. They noted during their visit that “between Iran and Spain has always reigned friendship and from the Embassy we have always shared the joy of Spain on occasions such as Christmas or sporting achievements such as the Euro football, and that our friendship is not only for moments of joy, because on sad occasions like the current episode we also join the Spaniards in their pain”, say sources from the Iranian Embassy.
It should be noted that in 2017 there was a fire in a building in Tehran and when the firefighters went to put down the fire the building collapsed and took the lives of a group of them. On that occasion, a group of firefighters from Madrid showed up at the Iranian Embassy to convey their condolences and solidarity (image of this visit in the photo).
