The Spanish government condemned this Friday the launching of a missile at Israel and the bombings of Beirut and southern Lebanon, which constitute “serious violations of the cessation of hostilities agreement between Lebanon and Israel.”
“The attacks on densely populated areas are contrary to international law,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared in a statement. “This new escalation of violence threatens the security of Lebanon, Israel, and the entire region,” it added.
“Spain demands restraint and urges the parties to respect the terms of the cessation of hostilities agreement and to comply with their international obligations, including Security Council Resolution 1701 in its entirety,” it concluded.
