The Teatro Circo Price is hosting two circus shows this March in collaboration with Teatralia, the International Performing Arts Festival for All Audiences of the Community of Madrid. Tickets can be purchased at this link.
These are two innovative proposals that reflect the variety and quality in the circus imagination: on the one hand, Smashed2, an amazing juggling show with seven watermelons and 80 oranges; and, on the other, 3Clowns, a fun and emotional review of the art of clown that transcends generations.
On 15 March, the English company Gandini Juggling will be performing a new version of their acclaimed show, Smashed. A proposal in which seven women and two men perform fruit juggling techniques (80 oranges and seven watermelons) inspired by the great choreographer Pina Bausch. On stage, the jugglers fight and have fun playing to provoke themselves in order to win, to excel on the track, performing and delighting the spectator with choreographies typical of ballet and physical theatre.
On 21 and 22 March, three exceptional clowns who have dedicated their entire lives to this profession present a show for all audiences in which they revisit their classic numbers and pay homage to the clowns of yesteryear. Without artifices or pretensions, they present to the public a work that evokes the world of the circus as the purest timeless humor, interpreted with mastery and simplicity. A reflection on the art of entertainment, regardless of age or time or place where the public sees it.
