La Filarmónica brings master Teodor Currentzis and 2nd of Mahler

The Society of Concerts La Filarmónica brings back to the famous conductor and maestro Teodor Currentzis (pictured) next Wednesday, March 26 at 19.30 hours to the Symphony Hall of the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid to interpret the impressive Second Symphony. Resurrection, by Gustav Mahler.

 

The Symphony No. 2 was composed by a man who had experienced great pain, which allowed him to understand and empathize with the sufferings of Christ crucified on a deeper level. ” If you do not die, you will never live”: this theme is central to post-romantic art, providing a form of edification for the transformed individuals of the new age.

 

Teodor Currentzis, conductor and Greek actor naturalized Russian, will be accompanied by his musicians and the Coro Ibercamera, directed by Mireia Barrera. Tickets can be purchased at this link.
