The Diplomat
During the event he organized in Madrid to promote tourism in Pakistan, Ambassador Zahoor Ahmed highlighted the diversity and originality of his country as the most important features to boost its tourism sector abroad, and particularly in Spain.
Under the name ‘Pakistan: The Next Tourism Destination’, the event was attended by nine Pakistani tourism companies touring Europe, led by Green Tourism Pvt. Ltdf, and fourteen other Spanish companies from the travel, marketing and brand promotion sector.
The objective is to boost the Spanish market’s interest in Pakistan, a country that maintains a certain interest among ‘adventure’ travelers but also wants to position itself among those tourists attracted by culture, gastronomy and even hunting.
During the presentation, several videos were screened showing Pakistan as “a versatile tourist destination, not only for adventure tourism, but also for family travelers, culture enthusiasts, nature lovers and those looking for an immersive experience in Pakistan’s vibrant cultural heritage, diverse landscapes and rich culinary traditions.”
“We are very conscious of our cultural heritage and the responsibility that comes with it, and we would like to preserve it as a heritage of humanity,” the ambassador added before extending an invitation to visit Pakistan to ”all Spaniards who would like to visit us, not as tourists, but as personal guests.”
