From 16 to 30 of this month of March, the Teatro del Barrio de Madrid (calle Zurita, 20) presents the play Los libros ardieron (Death and life of Juanita Capdevielle), played by Natalie Pinot and written and directed by the actor Secun de la Rosa.

Juanita Capdevielle is forced to leave A Coruña after the execution of her husband, the lawyer and politician Francisco Pérez Carballo, civil governor of A Coruña in August 1936. Hidden in the house of her friend Vitoriano Veiga goes unraveling the details of a lifetime, surrounded by books and literature, since she was a young dreamer in Pamplona to become the first woman director of the library of the Ateneo de Madrid. Tickets can be purchased at this link.
