Casa Árabe is screening the film ‘La red fantasma’ by Jonathan Millet

On the occasion of the anniversary of the Syrian revolution, this afternoon at 7:00 p.m., the film La red fantasma (Les Fantômes), directed by Jonathan Millet in 2004, will be screened from the auditorium of Casa Árabe in Madrid, Followed by a talk with journalists Laila Muharram and Okba Muhammad, from the magazine Baynana, which can be followed on the YouTube channel of Casa Árabe. The entries are numbered. Projection in original version subtitled in Spanish (VOSE).

 

The film tells how Hamid, a Syrian professor in exile, is part of a secret group that is chasing the regime’s fugitive leaders. His mission takes him to France on the trail of his former torturer. The revenge he has been obsessed with for years is just one step away. Based on real events.

 

The Ghost Network is the first feature film by director Jonathan Millet. It features performances by Adam Bessa, Tawfeek Barhom, Julia Franz Richter and Hala Rajab. It was presented at the opening session of the «Critics’ Week», in competition for the Golden Chamber, of the Cannes Film Festival 2024.
