With the support of the Foro cultural de Austria in Madrid, the prestigious Austrian pianist Maximilian Khevenhüller-Metsch will offer a musical performance during the 16th Week of Germanic Studies, which takes place from today to 14 March at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. The appointment is tomorrow Thursday at 7 pm in the Paraninfo of the Faculty of Philology.

This year’s congress will focus on the importance of the intercultural or multicultural aspect of our world, and the contrasts between literatures, cultures, methods and ways of thinking from other places and languages. The speakers will also reflect on interaction with non-human and artificial intelligence.

Maximilian Khevenhüller-Metsch is a pianist, conductor and composer who grew up between Austria and Spain. He received his musical education at the Katarina Gurska School of Music in Madrid and at the Carinthian State Conservatory. His piano teachers include Yuri Ananiev, Alexei Kornienko and Paul Gulda. He has performed in prestigious auditoriums, such as the Konzerthaus in Klagenfurt, the Musikverein in Vienna, the Hofburg in Vienna, the Wigmore Hall in London, the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid, the Teatro Monumental in Madrid and TVE.
