Celebration of the Day of Palestinian Culture at the Instituto Cervantes

The Embassy of the State of Palestine invites you to commemorate the Day of Palestinian Culture this afternoon from 7 pm at the Instituto Cervantes in Madrid (Calle de Barquillo 4).

 

After a welcome speech by Luis García Montero, director of the Instituto Cervantes, and Husni Abdelwahed, ambassador of the State of Palestine, poetry, music, song and dance will be present at the event, hosted by Sara Saavedra Hamoudi, in which there will be a recognition to the Arabist Luz Gómez, will intervene Bernabé López García, co-director and founding member of the Workshop of Mediterranean International Studies (TEIM), and honorary professor of Arab and Islamic Studies at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM); there will be a reading of Palestinian poems by the actors Ana Fernández and Christian Gálvez, and a musical proposal by the group Al Azar. The event will close with the Palestinian folk dance group Watani. Must be registered free of charge at this link.
