As part of an exchange programme with Parallel Vienna, the art space flat1 will be represented at this year’s Hybrid Art Fair 2025. From 6 to 9 March, works by the artists Karin Maria Pfeifer and Sula Zimmerberger will be exhibited at the Petit Palace Santa Bárbara hotel in Madrid (Plaza de Santa Bárbara, 10).
Hybrid Art Fair is an international event of disruptive contemporary art focused on the presentation of experimental and site-specific installations. It has positioned itself as a springboard for emerging and young artists, and is an essential meeting point for art collectors. Since 2022, Hybrid Art Fair collaborates with Parallel Vienna, an innovative hybrid event between art fair, exhibition space and artist studio held annually in Vienna.
flat1 focuses on the presentation of contemporary visual art. One of its main objectives is to promote exchange between international artists and create networks away from the commercial oriented gallery business. The flat1 programme as part of Hybrid Art Fair 2025 is designed by visual artists and exhibition curators Karin Maria Pfeifer and Sula Zimmerberger.
Karin Maria Pfeifer’s work addresses space and time and their relativity. It focuses on the virtual world of social networks and explores the fragility, vulnerability and ambivalence of people in search of themselves.
The question of reality and realities and their conscious transformation has also characterized Sula Zimmerberger’s work for several years. The artist processes her photos using a wide variety of digital techniques.
The exhibition is set in a special setting, the rooms of the hotel Petit Palace Santa Barbara. This, together with the fair’s transdisciplinary artistic program, creates a different and unique experience for visitors in which direct contact with artists and immersive curating projects stand out. The fair is also the perfect place to purchase unique pieces of contemporary art at affordable prices.
