Next Friday, March 7, at 11 am, the Instituto Cervantes de Madrid (calle Barquillo, 4) celebrates the International Women’s Day, receiving the legacies in memoriam of the poet of the Spanish postwar generation Ángela Figuera (Bilbao, 1902-Madrid, 1984) and the writer, journalist and political activist Luisa Carnés (Madrid, 1905-Mexico City, 1964). The Orellana Circle, an association of women professionals from a wide range of fields, will also leave a legacy.
