Next Saturday, March 1 at 18:00, the virtuoso pianist of Polish origin, Wiktor Gasior, offers a concert in the Espacio Ronda de Madrid (Ronda de Segovia, 50).

This concert offers a journey through some of the most demanding and emotionally intense works in the piano repertoire. From the lyrical and dramatic preludes of Rachmaninoff to the introspective expressiveness of Medtner, through the heroic mourning of Liszt’s Funérailles and the great nostalgic tragedy of Chopin’s Polonesa in F minor, the program celebrates the genius of these two pairs of friends: Rachmaninov and Medtner, along with Liszt and Chopin.

The concert programme consists of Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Preludes op. 23 (no 1 to 5); Canzona Serenata, Op. 38, no 6 and the Sonata in F minor, op. 56 (“Idyllic Sonata”), by Nikolai Medtner; the Funérailles (de Harmonies poétiques et religieuses, S. 173, no.o 7), by Franz Liszt, the Polonesa in F sharp minor, op. 44, by Frédéric Chopin.

Wiktor Gasior (Madrid, 2006) is a young pianist of Polish origin who has been awarded in more than 30 international competitions. He began his musical studies at the age of four and, in his artistic growth, received a key education under the guidance of Mendmaa Dorzhin Madasova, who played a fundamental role in his piano development during his studies at the Professional Conservatory of Alcalá de Henares and the Amaniel Professional Conservatory. Subsequently, she continued her training with renowned teachers such as Galina Eguiazarova. Currently, he is studying for the Higher Degree in Interpretation at the Katarina Gurska Higher Centre in Madrid, where he studies under the direction of the renowned pianist and pedagogue Andrey Yaroshinsky. His versatility and depth of interpretation have led him to perform on international stages and collaborate with outstanding orchestras and musicians.
