The Diplomat
The Ambassador of Nicaragua to Spain, Maurizio Carlo Gelli, presented on 11 February his credentials to King Charles III of the United Kingdom at Bukingham Palace, who endorsed him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
According to the note issued by the Embassy in Madrid, “the carefully choreographed ceremony began with the carriage of Ambassador Gelli from the Foreign Office to the Bukingham Halls, where the meeting for the presentation of the credentials took place”.
“The ambassador then held a bilateral meeting with the King where they shared the benefits that both countries have, as well as exploring new trade, friendship and collaboration ties and boosting tourism between the two countries. The King was very close to the ambassador and showed great knowledge of our country, which, likewise, conveyed a fraternal greeting.”
