The perspectives surrounding the new US Administration, in Donald Trump’s second term, was the focus of the Tertulia that The Diplomat organized yesterday, together with the Association of Foreign Diplomats (ADE), at the Hotel Meliá Madrid Princesa, and in which the guest speaker was Estefanía Molina, political scientist, journalist, writer and columnist for the newspaper El País.

Under the title “Donald Trump and his new government: what can we expect?”, Estefanía Molina analyzed the possible consequences for Spain of the US president’s policies, as well as the effects on the rest of the world.

The discussion was attended by more than forty foreign diplomats and academics specialized in international relations from various universities in Madrid.

The ambassador of Switzerland speaks at the talk.

The Diplomat’s Tertulias have been held periodically for years and deal with different aspects of Spanish politics, economy and society. Its objective is to offer foreign diplomats different approaches and points of view on different aspects of the Spanish reality, under the condition of strict confidentiality of what is discussed in the room.
