On Monday, the Embassy of Ukraine and Nebrija University signed a collaboration agreement that represents another step in the development of academic cooperation between Ukraine and Spain, and offers new opportunities for students, academics and researchers from both countries.
The Agreement provides for the establishment of joint study programmes, exchange of students and teachers, as well as joint research projects. Initiatives to combat disinformation and explore mechanisms for circumventing sanctions are important. Educational institutions play a key role in spreading the truth and protecting democratic values.
“Education and science, the Ukrainian Embassy stresses in its statement, are the areas that unite peoples beyond borders. Ukraine, which is currently fighting for its freedom and its European future, appreciates the support of its international partners, particularly the Spanish academic community.”
“In addition, an important element of our cooperation, the statement continues, will be the incorporation of Nebrija University into the Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies. This initiative brings together the world’s leading universities that promote the study of Ukraine’s contemporary history, culture and politics, and support academic research that helps to better understand the challenges facing Ukraine. This step will serve to strengthen the academic ties between our countries and contribute to the dissemination of knowledge about Ukraine in the international academic arena.”
