The Diplomat

Iran's Ambassador to Spain, Reza Zabib, thanked “Spain's valuable support to the Palestinian people during this genocide”, in reference to the Israeli military operation with Hamas, and called for “bringing to justice the perpetrators of this unprecedented genocide”, during the reception he hosted to commemorate the 46th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
The ambassador expressed his appreciation to Spain “especially for increasing its contribution to UNRWA and, of course, for its recognition of the State of Palestine”. After reviewing the meetings held by the Foreign Ministers of both countries in the margins of various bilateral meetings, Reza Zabib added that “both sides have agreed to continue their constructive exchanges”. During a speech that revolved largely around the Palestinian crisis, the ambassador also showed a certain conciliatory tone by insisting on the peaceful nature of the Iranian nuclear program. Reas Zabib noted that “Iran is fully prepared for ‘win-win’ cooperation on the basis of voluntary temporary limitation of its nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of illegal unilateral sanctions.” The ambassador assured that “any other unilateral approach will inevitably lead to losing any possible win-win.” In this regard, Reza Zabib again called for “unity” among the countries of the Middle East to solve the Palestinian problem “once and for all”. In any case, he rejected “the annexation, the expulsion of Palestinians from their homeland and now the ridiculous idea of foreign ownership of Gaza” because “these are outdated and erroneous initiatives that clearly violate international law and international humanitarian law”. Regarding the economic conjuncture in Iran, the ambassador assured that, while oil exports continue “almost at the same pre-sanctions level,” extra-direct investments have reached a record of more than $8 billion, which together have allowed Iran to grow by 3.8% in the last year. [caption id="attachment_108013" align="alignnone" width="750"] The Ambassador of Japan, upon his arrival at the reception.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_108015" align="alignnone" width="750"] The ambassadors of Russia and Armenia.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_108019" align="alignnone" width="750"] The ambassador of Uzbekistan and his wife pose with the hosts.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_108005" align="alignnone" width="750"] The Ambassador of Azerbaijan with the Ambassadors of Bosnia and Herzegovina and New Zealand.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_108017" align="alignnone" width="750"] The Ambassador of Sudan with her Algerian counterpart.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_108011" align="alignnone" width="750"] The Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of Guinea poses with the hosts.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_108007" align="alignnone" width="750"] The Minister Counsellors of Brazil and Mexico.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_108009" align="alignnone" width="750"] General view of the hall during the Ambassador's speech.[/caption]
