The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas, received the Turkish ambassador to Spain, Nüket Küçükel, on Thursday, to whom he conveyed Spain’s interest in promoting bilateral trade in the agri-food sector.
According to the Ministry in a press release, Planas and the ambassador highlighted the good health of bilateral relations, especially in the agri-food sector. There is currently a Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2013 on agriculture and a follow-up meeting on this document is scheduled to be held in Ankara this year.
In addition, Planas thanked the ambassador for Turkey’s support for those affected by the DANA in Valencia, both for its messages of solidarity and for the donation of 250 containers for the collection of organic waste.
