This afternoon at 19.30, the Sala Sinfónica of the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid is dressed to honor the Spanish scientist and 1906 Nobel Prize for Medicine Santiago Ramón y Cajal.
The Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid, under the direction of maestro Gustavo Gimeno, will perform the Overture of Prince Igor, by Alexander Borodin; the Divertimento from “The Fairy’s Kiss”, by Igor Stravinsky, and the Symphony No 5 Op. 64 in E minor, by Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
