In collaboration with the Global Observatory of Spanish (OGE), tomorrow Tuesday at 7 pm, the Instituto Cervantes in Madrid presents the book El espanyol sefardí, by Manuel Gálvez Ibáñez. Free admission until capacity is exhausted. The presentation will be available live on YouTube. Please confirm at invitationes@cervantes.es.

According to the author, this is a book “unique, the first published and edited in Judeo-Spanish in all of Spain’s history”, which aims to enchant readers with the history, culture and language Sephardic and prevent this language from disappearing.

The event will be presented by the general secretary of the Instituto Cervantes, Carmen Noguero Galilea. Then, a colloquium will take place with the participation of Francisco Moreno Fernández, director of the OGE; Manuel Gálvez Ibáñez, author of the book; and Paloma Díaz-Mas, professor and academic of the Real Academia Española.
