On Wednesday, January 15, Círculo Intercultural Hispano Árabe (CIHAR) celebrated its tenth anniversary at Casa Árabe in Madrid.
The two-day ceremony, which was held at the first event, reviewed activities during the 10 years with the presence of Arab diplomats and representatives of various entities, CIHAR gave diplomas to people who collaborated and collaborate in their intercultural activities as a recognition and gratitude for so much help they provided us.
This is the list of people who have received the diplomas: Cristina Juarranz de la Fuente, Deputy Director, coordinator of programming and institutional relations at Casa Árabe; Javier Rosón Lorente, programmer and assistant to the Arab House Management in Córdoba; Karim Hauser Askalani, Coordinator of Cultural Programs at Casa Árabe; María-Paz Martín Esteban, Director of the Royal Botanical Garden – CSIC. Research Professor; Alejandro Klecker de Elizalde, Director General of the Royal Tapestry Factory; Mayte Penelas Meléndez, Director of the School of Arab Studies – EEA-CSIC; Nadia Rodríguez Ortega, Retired professor – Translation and Interpretation Multiculturality Universidad Pontificia Comillas; Juan David Latorre Pérez, Journalist – Coordinator of the Culture Section of The Diplomat in Spain. Cultural advisor of CIHAR; Armando Lozano Hernández, Director of the Ronda Space, intercultural manager; Ángeles Fernangómez, poet and narrator, founder of the Encuentros Poético-Artísticos de Poética En Gredos; Rafael Luna García, academic. President of the Spanish Academy of Modern Literature and Art Now, diploma; Rosa Rodríguez Núñez, Teacher of Early Childhood Education. Poet and president of the Spanish Association of Friends of Poetry; Libertad de Prado Castillejo, director of Libertad en Danza. Creative, teacher, choreographer, performer, model; Sergio Carlos Pérez, President of Asociación Uruguay Córdoba, coordinator of the Festival Grito de Mujer intercultural manager; Antonio R. Acedo del Olmo, writer and socio-cultural researcher, Cultural Advisor of CIHAR in the province of Malaga; Pilar García Orgaz, Poet, studied Geography and History, also Applied Arts and Artistic Crafts; Federico Romero Galán, Photographer in poetry. Retired journalist, and Antonio Portillo Casado, a poet since his adolescence, cultural activist.
The ambassadors of Palestine, Tunisia and Algeria were present at the event, together with the minister plenipotentiary of the Embassy of Morocco.
In the afternoon, musician Ziryāb spoke at the Auditorio de Casa Árabe with his contributions to Andalusian music and accompaniment of Arabic lute music.
There was also a poetic recital for peace and interculturality. The event was closed by a mini concert of Hispanic-Arab musical encounter between lute and guitar.
