The Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, held a video conference on Friday with the commanders of the National Border Guard of Ukraine, to whom she announced the upcoming shipment by Spain of light and troop transport vehicles, as well as ambulances and power generators, in response to the urgent needs raised by the authorities of the country.
According to the Ministry of Defense, Robles was able to learn from the head of the National Border Guard, Lieutenant General Serhii Deineko, and his deputy, General Andriy Kucherenko, the situation on the ground and showed special interest in the damage in the country after the insistent Russian bombings. In addition, General Deineko expressed his gratitude for the willingness and commitment of the minister and her team, as well as her constant support for the National Border Guard.
For her part, Robles, after praising the work carried out by this military body, reviewed the set of deliveries of support material, as well as what is on the way, and announced that the next shipment will include light vehicles and troop transport vehicles, as well as ambulances. In addition, power generators will be added, in response to the urgent needs raised by the Ukrainian authorities. At the meeting, the minister was accompanied by the Secretary General of Defence Policy, Admiral Juan Francisco Martínez Núñez.
