Next Saturday, January 18 at 19.30, the Fundación Excelentia presents in the Symphony Hall of the Auditorio Nacional de Música of Madrid one of the largest and brightest Concerts for Violin and Orchestra, that of Mendelssohn, with virtuoso violist Erzhan Kulibaev.
In addition, the concert will be completed with two works by Mozart: the overture “Las bodas de Fígaro” and the Symphony no 39.
Erzhan Kulibaev, a graduate of the Central School of the Moscow Conservatory, is one of the few contemporary violinists whose violin and pedagogical paradigm integrates the tradition and teachings of the two most prominent violinists of the twentieth century: David Oistrakh and Jascha Heifetz. For many years he studied with Zakhar Bron, a pupil of David Oistrakh, at the Reina Sofía Music College and later completed his master’s degree with Pierre Amoyal, a student of Jascha Heifetz, at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg.
Has been awarded in prestigious competitions, including the Henryk Wieniawski Competition of Poznan, the George Enescu Competition in Bucharest, the First Prize and Tango Award at the Buenos Aires International Competition, the “Washington Award”, the Manhattan International Music Competition in New York and the Berliner International Music Competition.
The Santa Cecilia Classical Orchestra will perform the musical pieces under the direction of José Luis López Antón. Tickets can be purchased at this link or by calling 91 4574061 / 91 4583089 or by sending an email to reservas@fundacionexcelentia.org.
