Over a million viewers have seen the new Disney premiere, Mufasa, the Lion King, in just 10 days.

Barry Jenkins’ new film has been number one in theaters for 10 consecutive days. More than 1.15 million viewers have enjoyed the film on the big screen, with €8.5 million raised since its release.

The new Disney film has already accumulated 8.5 million euros since its release. It should be noted that 29% of the viewers who went to the cinema last weekend in December, decided to watch Mufasa: The Lion King.

Told in flashbacks, the story presents Mufasa as an orphaned puppy, lost and alone until he meets a friendly lion named Taka, the heir to a royal lineage. The chance encounter triggers an expansive journey for an extraordinary group of misfits in search of their fate: their bonds will be tested as they work together to evade a threatening and deadly enemy.
