Faithful to its date with Christmas, the ice rinks of the City of Madrid resume their prominence within the extensive program designed for these holidays. Now a tradition, they offer Madrileños and visitors of all ages the opportunity to enjoy a unique activity in a festive atmosphere.

Matadero Madrid, the space of the Area of Culture, Tourism and Sport, is reaffirmed as one of the epicenters of Christmas in the capital. Its outdoor ice rink, with a 600 m2 facility, is one of the largest in Spain and the perfect place for both those who are skaters for the first time as for more experienced skaters. Until 6 January, this track will be the ideal setting for enjoying moments of fun and excitement with the family.

Access to the track will be charged at 6.5 euros per 30-minute pass, including the rental of skates. Gloves (mandatory) are available for 1.6 euros, child skating support elements (walkers) for 2 euros and helmets are provided at no additional charge. Tickets and timetables are available at the ticket offices on site and at www.navidadmadrid.com.

In addition, at Matadero Madrid it will snow every day from 20 December to 3 January, starting at 6 pm, adding a special touch to a program full of activities. Visitors will enjoy initiatives for the whole family and age group, from participatory installations and magic shows to workshops of illustration, experimentation, artistic creation, design, crafts, sculpture and masks. You can also enjoy performing arts, games, food trucks and a wide range of experiences for all tastes and audiences. There will also be outdoor shows designed only for the little ones, accompanied by a careful and varied musical proposal.

Another highlight is the ice skating rink of the Palacio Cibeles, located in the Glass Gallery of the CentroCentro building, which will be open to the public from this Saturday until January 5. Since 2012, this space has become a reference of the Christmas in Madrid.

With 400 m2 of surface, the Cibeles track invites you to slide in a unique environment. Tickets can be purchased at the box office (EUR 6.50 per 30 minutes) and on www.navidadmadrid.com.
