Tomorrow, Tuesday at 7 pm, Casa Asia in Madrid presents a jazz concert by Japanese composers.
In this concert using jazz as a bridge to unite concepts that, although antagonistic are not opposed to each other, will be heard the music of Koji Kondo, creator of video game melodies that have reached all the ends of the earth, works by the famous Japanese jazz pianists Rio Fukui and Makoto Ozone, and compositions by the prolific Joe Hisaishi, creator of more than a hundred soundtracks among which stand out those of various films of Studio Ghibli directed by Hayao Miyazaki. A unique musical experience for lovers of Japan, jazz, classics and video games.
If any artistic trend has been able to spread by taking advantage of all the technological possibilities that have emerged over time, it is precisely music. It represents almost utopian terms such as omnipresence and ubiquity. Its essence encompasses everything, from the nostalgic to the banal, from the productive to the subliminal. In short, music is the thread that unites hundreds of societies around the world in thought and action.
The example of what was described above is jazz, because it brings together ideas of all proportions and its permeability makes it capable of adapting to all traditions, styles and trends in the world.
The concert will be presented by Roberto Pérez, musical researcher and producer, and will be performed by Juanma López (saxophone); Silvano Pagliuca-Mena, pictured (piano); Fabbio Alonso (double bass), and Angelo Pagliuca-Mena (drums). Registration open at this link.
