The Embassy of Colombia opens the exhibition Peace is the way at the Centro Cultural Gabriel García Márquez, which will be open to the public from December 9 to January 31, 2025. Compulsory prior registration at this link.
The Miradas Collective, in its initiative for peace building, reintegration and reconciliation, presents this exhibition, made by signatories of the Peace Agreement, photographers and community photographers, who “switched the shots of the rifles to the bursts of the cameras in order to portray life and hope in the territories”.
Also, on Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 December at 6.30 p.m., Casa de América, the Embassy of Colombia, the European Peace Fund of the European Union, the Agency for Reintegration and Normalization (ARN) and the Miradas Collective will present in the Iberia Room of the diplomatic cultural center the homonymous program Peace is the way. Admission is free.
This program aims to position and make visible, in front of various actors, the legacy that Colombia leaves to the world around the construction of peace, reconciliation and work that community collectives, as Miradas, in which the signatories of the 2016 Peace Agreement participate, develop in the territories to strengthen the social fabric and to keep alive the hope of peace through art and culture.
