Next Saturday, December 7 at 19.30, in the Auditorio Marcelino Camacho of Madrid (Lope de Vega street 40), the Hispanic Palestinian Jerusalem Association (AHPJ) brings a group of talented artists directly from Nablus that will offer a vibrant performance, with songs and choreographies based on traditional Palestinian folk dance known as dabke.
The dabke is more than a dance: it is a symbol of resistance, unity and cultural heritage of the Palestinian people. Through contagious rhythms and energetic choreographies, this show will transport the audience to the roots of Palestinian folklore, reflecting the identity and history of a people through art.
We will also hear from Hatem AbdelQader Hafi (Haweia Group, Askar refugee camp, Nablus), Salah Shelbaya and Saida Ghodaieh Curiel (AHPJ) and Daniel Gismero (CC.OO. Madrid).
Whether or not you attend, you can make contributions to the Association of the Hispanic-Palestinian Community Jerusalem Spain account (ES45 2100 2566 9813 0078 8761). Tickets can be booked here or purchased at the box office one hour before. Please be punctual.
