Inauguration of the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in Palma de Mallorca

In the Plaza Santa Eulalia, 5, 1B, first floor, of the Balearic island of Palma de Mallorca was inaugurated on 22 November the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in the Balearic Islands.

 

The Ukrainian businessman Volodymyr Nosov was appointed Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Balearic Islands, noting that “the institution will actively support business projects that stimulate Spanish exports to Ukraine and help create new economic opportunities for both countries”.

 

The inauguration of the Honorary Consulate was attended by representatives of local authorities, business and cultural circles, as well as the Ukrainian community. During the opening, a charity auction was held to support Ukrainian children affected by Russian aggression.

 

The Ambassador of Ukraine, Serhii Pohoreltsev, stressed that the inauguration of the Honorary Consulate “is a clear testimony to the dynamic development of relations between Ukraine and Spain. This important step opens up new opportunities for deepening cooperation in the commercial, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields as well as for broadening regional ties between our countries. Through the creation of partnerships and investment in Ukrainian industries, Spanish companies can not only improve their own growth prospects but also contribute to the sustainable development of Ukraine.”

 

The honorary consul, Volodymyr Nosov, said that “we will work actively in the cultural field and support social and humanitarian initiatives to help Ukraine, with special attention to children and young people. At the same time, we are ready to help Spanish companies adapt to the Ukrainian market, find reliable partners, learn about the peculiarities of the Ukrainian business environment and successfully integrate their products and services”.

Volodymyr Nosov is the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in the Balearic Islands, Ukrainian entrepreneur, founder and CEO of WhiteBIT, a group of companies specialized in blockchain product development, President of the football club Metalist 1925, philanthropist and benefactor. Volodymyr Nosov is dedicated to the development of blockchain technologies, invests in cryptoeducational projects and promotes football. During the two and a half years of Russia’s large-scale war against Ukraine, Volodymyr Nosov and WhiteBIT have donated more than UAH 445 million to help the Ukrainian army and civilians.
