The XXX Edition of the Festival Los Grandes del Góspel can be enjoyed in Madrid from tomorrow until 15 December at the Teatro Fernán Gómez. Centro Cultural de la Villa.
This great celebration will feature a programme that summarizes what this Festival has been throughout these three decades. Performing the Soweto Gospel Choir (3-6 December), three times awarded with the Grammy Awards, who will bring their show “Hope” or Mississipi Mass Choir (7-10 December), a traditional gospel banner with regular presence on the Billboard charts and awarded with the Dove and Stellar, featuring “The Gospel Legend Tour”. The South Carolina Gospel Choir (December 12-14) premieres its “Tina Turner’s Happy Days”, a gospel celebration that commemorates the great singer’s religious roots in this contemporary choral’s unmistakable soul style. New Orleans Gospel Choir (from tomorrow to December 1) will offer a renewed program of “The streets of New Orleans”. As the closing of the festival, the Oh Madrid Happy Day will feature the Escolanía de El Escorial, with the special collaboration of the great Louisiana singer Bridget Bazile (December 15).
