From 27 November to 4 December, the 17th edition of the Italian Film Festival, organized by the Instituto Cultural Italiano, will be held at MK2 Cine Paz in Madrid (calle Fuencarral, 125).
This year, too, short films, documentaries and feature films of contemporary Italian cinema have been selected, presented in the most prestigious international festivals of the current year, with a wide programme, in which, alongside established and award-winning authors, emerging directors of great talent are joined.
This year, the award for the film career was given to Sonia Bergamasco (pictured), coinciding with her debut as director of the documentary Duse – The Greatest, which will open the programme of the Festival.
Also, the Cinema section returns in the morning, where the documentary Posso entrare? An ode to Naples, by Trudie Styler, a heartfelt tribute to Naples, and also Marcello Mastroianni will be remembered with the films Il Bell’Antonio, La notte and Divorzio all’italiana. In addition, on Saturday, November 30, the Giffoni Cine Lab will hold a laboratory for the little ones.
All screenings are free. The films in competition are presented as a preview in Spain, in original version with subtitles in Spanish.
