The Hungarian Embassy announces a fun concert of Hungarian pop/jazz/rock music by the famous group Budapest Bár, next Tuesday 10 December at 8 pm in the Teatro Alcázar in Madrid (Calle Alcalá, 20). Tickets can be purchased at this link.

This concert is a prominent Hungarian musical production that has conquered the public with emotional versions of popular songs, merging genres such as jazz, pop, rock and gypsy music, in a style inspired by the cafes of Budapest of the 20’s and 30’s. Founded in 2007 and directed by the talented violinist Róbert Farkas, the group has five musicians and thirteen singers selected for each performance, which brings versatility and freshness to their presentations. A unique musical experience.

The ensemble owes its magical appeal to its excellent musicians, its constantly updated and charming repertoire and the consecrated singers of Hungarian rock music. Budapest Bár, which currently has thirteen singers and is a completely unique formation, has become one of the most sought-after concert bands in the world thanks to its world-class musicians and experienced singers, first class and audience favorites.

Well-known and popular songs are reinterpreted from gypsy music, with the combination of jazz, pop, rock, swing, klezmer and many other musical genres. They perfectly merge the different styles, thus offering a unique musical experience. The unique production is world class, so for more than sixteen years they have been offering concerts with full capacity in the most important concert halls and theaters of the country and the world, including MÜPA, at Vígszínház, the Budapest Congress Centre, the London Olympics, Turkey, the USA, Canada, Brazil and Vietnam, as well as national festivals.
