Until next 20 December, the Exhibition Hall of the Instituto Cervantes in Alcalá de Henares (calle Libreros, 23) commemorates the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attack of 11 M in Madrid and presents the exhibition 20 years of the 11 M. Memorial of pain and solidarity, organized by the Fundación Víctimas del Terrorismo and the Ministry of the Interior.
This sample, structured in eight sections that help contextualize the informative content of the images, is a careful selection of images from the EFE Agency that recall the terrible events of those days, the reaction of the people of Madrid and other Spanish cities, the tributes that followed and the subsequent judicial process.
All this is a tribute to the memory of the victims of a global phenomenon, jihadist terrorism, which two decades later remains a sad news in many parts of the world; as well as to the city of Madrid, the city of Europe most hit by terrorism, with more than 400 deaths and thousands of injuries from attacks by different organizations.
