Tomorrow, Friday, at 7.30 pm, the first meeting will take place in the bookshop Rafael Alberti (calle del Tutor, 57). The following day, Saturday, at 7 pm, the Romanian writer will meet with her readers in the Sala Juan de la Cruz of the Teatro de la Abadía (calle de Fernández de los Ríos, 42), in a tribute to Anna Ajmátova. To finish, on Sunday, 10 November, at 6.30 pm, Ana Blandiana, poet, narrator, essayist and Romanian political figure, will meet at the Casa del Libro (Gran Vía, 29).
Ana Blandiana, Princess of Asturias Award for Letters 2024 and Doctor Honoris Causa of the University of Salamanca, has eleven books translated into Spanish, some of them with the support of the Instituto Cultural Rumano, through the TPS Program developed by the ICR and CENNAC – National Book Centre. She is the author of more than 30 books translated into 25 languages and has won numerous international awards, including the Vilenica International Prize (2002) and the European Poet of Freedom Prize (2016), as well as the French Legion of Honor.
