Eduardo González

The Instituto Cervantes has cancelled the annual meeting of its Board of Trustees, scheduled for tomorrow and which was to be chaired by the King and Queen, as a result of the DANA crisis, as reported by the Institute itself to The Diplomat.
The Royal House had reported this Sunday the suspension of "the entire agenda of other activities planned for next week" by the King and Queen. This cancellation included the annual meeting with the Board of Trustees of the Instituto Cervantes, which was to take place at the Royal Palace of Aranjuez and in which the main data of the 2023-2024 academic year were to be known, as well as the objectives and forecasts of the new academic year. The meeting, which was expected to be attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, was also to be attended by the Ñ Prize, which included a lunch with the patrons, with the Ibero-American ambassadors accredited in Spain and with the authorities.
