Turkey’s ambassador in Madrid, Nüket Küçükel Ezberci, has expressed her country’s commitment to expand its collaboration with Spain “beyond traditional sectors.”
In a meeting with partners of the Business Council Alliance for Ibero-America (CEAPI) on the topic ‘Spain as a bridge between Latin America and the world’, the ambassador said that Turkey and our country “are strengthening their economic ties, in line with the objective of 25 billion euros of trade volume set by their leaders during the Intergovernmental Summit held last June.”
She also pointed out that both Turkey and Spain have committed to expanding their collaboration beyond traditional sectors “and to focus -she said- on value-added industries such as logistics, renewable energy and technology.” He recalled that during the Intergovernmental Summit, seven of the 17 agreements signed were of an economic nature, which, in his opinion, “reflects their shared vision of deeper collaboration and more dynamic economic relations.”
Furthermore, Nüket Küçükel Ezberci stressed that “Turkey and Spain not only intend to boost trade, but also to continue joint initiatives in third regions such as Latin America and Africa.” And she added that, taking advantage of their complementary potential, Turkey and Spain “are positioning themselves to strengthen their global economic presence and drive future growth.”
The meeting was attended by CEAPI president Nuria Vilanova, who pointed out that “collaboration between Turkey, Spain and Latin America opens unprecedented opportunities; as well as the vice president and CEO of Catenon, Miguel Ángel Navarro, and business leaders from the region.
