This afternoon at 8 pm, in the Teatro del Instituto Italiano de Cultura de Madrid (calle Mayor, 86), the Cardaropoli-Ferro Duo will perform in concert, composed by two Italian talents of international fame: the violinist Gennaro Cardaropoli and the pianist Alberto Ferro.
The Instituto Italiano de Cultura in Madrid, in collaboration with the Cidim – Comitato Nazionale Italiano Musica, presents this concert within the cycle In Scena a Palazzo.
Gennaro Cardaropoli, born in Salerno, is considered one of the best current Italian violinists. In 2022 he received the prestigious «Young Artist of the Year» award, an award given by a jury of 17 members from all over Europe. His brilliant career has led him to perform as a soloist with renowned orchestras such as the Verdi Philharmonic of Milan, the Orchestra of the San Carlo Theatre in Naples, and prestigious international venues such as the Musikverein of Vienna and the Philharmonie of Paris.
Alongside him, Alberto Ferro, born in Gela, is an extraordinarily talented pianist who has won numerous international awards, including the 1st prize and the Audience Award at the Telekom-Beethoven in Bonn and the 2nd prize at the «Ferruccio Busoni» competition in Bolzano. Ferro has performed in the most important concert halls in Europe, such as the Gewandhaus in Leipzig and the Concertgebouw in Bruges, collaborating with world-famous symphony orchestras. Currently he is a piano teacher at the «Alessandro Scarlatti» State Conservatory of Music in Palermo.
