Tomorrow Tuesday at 7 pm, the Embassy of Costa Rica and Casa América present in the amphitheater Gabriela Mistral of the cultural house of the Plaza de Cibeles a meeting between the Iberoamerican Choir of Madrid of the OEI (Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture) and the Costa Rican choir Estudio Coral Armentum. Free admission until capacity is full.
The Iberoamerican Choir will perform four pieces of its repertoire before giving way to the Coral Armentum Studio, which is touring Europe participating in various concerts and festivals. The musical program will include compositions from Costa Rica, as well as other Ibero-American and European countries. At the end of the concert, both choirs will join their voices, with more than fifty choristers on stage.
Carolina Fernández, business manager of the Embassy of Costa Rica, will welcome you to the interpretation of the Iberoamerican Choir of Madrid, directed by Raúl Barrio, which will make the attendees enjoy with pieces like De la caña de hace el guaro (Costa Rica), arr. M. Astor; Todo cambia (Chile) by T. Numhauser/ arr. V. Tabbush; Ojos brujos (Cuba) by G. Roig/ arr. E. Silva, and Con el vito (Spain), arr. M. Massotti.
The second part of the concert will be performed by Estudio Coral Armentum de Costa Rica, directed by Albin Delgado, singing songs such as Libérame, by Ch. A. Silvestri; Richte mich Got, by F. Mendelssohn; Me renovaré, by W. Todd; Presagio, by F. Gamboa / arr. Albin Delgado (Costa Rica), or Alma llanera, by P. E. Gutiérrez / arr. R. Wesby (Venezuela).
To finish, the two choirs will play together El torito, trad. costarricense / arr. R. Barrio, with Albin Delgado on guitar and Francisco Porras on the legüero drum; and Bullerengue, by J. A. Rincón / J. Artel. Albin Delgado will play the djembé on this number.
