As part of the Kafka Year, the Instituto Goethe in Madrid will be screening tomorrow at 7 pm the documentary Kafka’s Last Journey, which lasts approximately 70 minutes.
Manfred Müller, director of the Austrian Literature Society (ÖGfL) and member of the Kafka Society, will present the documentary, produced by Hans-Gerd Koch and Clemens Schmiedbauer, and give a lecture on the final stage of Franz Kafka’s life in Austria.
Kafka’s last journey tells the final stages of Franz Kafka’s life from Prague to the sanatorium in Wienerwald. From all the documents preserved, a complete picture of one of the most famous writers in the world emerges in a private setting.
Also, next Thursday at 18.30 hours, the Círculo de Bellas Artes of Madrid will hold a round table with Manfred Müller, entitled Kafka and its social, geographical and literary context. Also participating in the debate will be Václav Petrbok and Thomas Anz.
