Within the V Renaissance Music and Arts Festival from the Renaissance to the Baroque, next Monday, October 14 at 18.30, the Fundación Carlos de Amberes (Claudio Coello street, 99) celebrates in its auditorium the Garcilaso Day, the musical commemoration, poetic and literary of the 488 anniversary of the death of the Spanish poet and military of the Golden Age Garcilaso de la Vega.
With speakers such as the poet Luis Alberto de Cuenca, the event offers a unique opportunity to get to know the work of the famous writer in its historical context, listen to his poetry, already musified at the time, and also to appreciate the verses of a contemporary poet. The soprano Marta del Barrio will also be present; the Art Teacher of the Complutense University of Madrid, Mª Teresa Chicote; the director of the Festival Renacen and Cía Garcilasos, Jesús Román, and the actor José Soto.
