The Sociedad de Conciertos La Filarmónica presents tomorrow Tuesday at 19.30 in the Symphony Hall of the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid to the director Teodor Currentzis (pictured) interpreting one of the most emblematic and symbolic works of the Russian repertoire: Fifth Symphony in D minor, opus 47, by Dmitri Shostakovich.
Together with the conductor, will be present the cello of Miriam Prandi, to interpret also the Overture of The Force of Fate, by Giuseppe Verdi, and Variations on a Rococo theme, op. 33 for cello and orchestra, by Piotr IlichTchaikovsky.
Currentzis returns to La Filarmónica to open this season with his orchestra musicAeterna Dmitri Shostakovich’s Fifth Symphony. He will also perform the Ninth, by Bruckner, and the Second, by Mahler, which with tomorrow’s concert will be three concerts that will frame the season of La Filarmónica.
