The Orchestra and the Coro Filarmonía de Madrid, accompanied by the Participativos Filarmonicos and the soloists Guiomar Cantó and Rosanna Cooper will open the Essential Cycle, and its sixteenth season, with Mahler’s 2nd Symphony, ‘Resurrection’.
Like Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, this one includes a last choral movement to which, on this occasion, the great organ of the Auditorio Nacional will be added.
On 17 October at 7.30 pm in the Symphony Hall of the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid, you will have the opportunity to hear a choir of more than 350 voices and one of the most impressive instruments in the world, the organ of the National Auditorium, with more than 5,700 tubes.
The Master Pascual Osa has included in the first part of this concert, two works of oriental origin: Yellow River, by Xian Xinghai, and the traditional Chinese song, Mòlìhuā (Jasmine Flower). Tickets are already on sale at this link.
