<h6><strong>The Diplomat</strong></h6> <h4><strong>Diplomat Moisés Morera Martín has been appointed Programming Director of Casa de América, replacing Luis Prados Covarrubias, who recently joined the Spanish Embassy in Lisbon as Cultural Counselor.</strong></h4> Moisés Morera <strong>was until last July the Alternate Permanent Representative of Spain to the FAO, WFP and IFAD, at the Spanish Embassy in Rome, Italy</strong>. He holds a degree in Law from the University of Deusto (Bilbao), a Master's Degree in Trade and International Politics from Georgetown University (Washington) and a PhD in International Relations from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (Madrid). In addition, he is an Expert in Cultural Management Abroad from the Universidad Carlos III (Madrid). In 2007 he joined the Spanish Diplomatic Service. Throughout his career he has held the following diplomatic posts: Consul at the Spanish Embassy in San Salvador, El Salvador; Chargé d'Affaires at the Spanish Embassy in Juba, South Sudan; Cultural Affairs Counselor at the Spanish Embassy in Caracas, Venezuela and Consul at the Spanish Consulate General in Casablanca, Morocco. During his work periods in Madrid he has been Deputy Assistant Director General for the Middle East; Head of the Area of Economic Relations with Latin America; Deputy Director of the Office of the Undersecretary and Head of the Service of Travel and Official Visits, always within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation.
