On Thursday, September 26 at 7.30 pm, the Fundación Excelentia begins its cycle of Great Classics with the figure of Ludwig von Beethoven, in the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid.
The Santa Cecilia Classical Orchestra, under the baton of maestro Sergey Smbatyan and the virtuoso Korean violinist Ye Eun Choi (in the photo), will perform Symphony no. 3 “Heroica” and the Concerto for violin and orchestra by the Bonn-born maestro, together with the overture to Euryanthe by Carl Maria von Weber.
Ye Eun Choi, considered one of the most brilliant violinists on the international scene, has performed with such conductors as Riccardo Muti, Mariss Jansons, Charles Dutoit, Christoph Eschenbach, Andre Previn, Jirí Belohlávek , Michael Tilson Thomas, Jap Van Zweden, Yannick Nezet Seguin, Manfred Honeck, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Yuri Bashmet, Neeme Jarvi, Alan Gilbert, Kent Nagano, among others, and with orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Montreal Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre National de France, Munich Symphony Orchestra, Hamburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Bayrischer Rundfunk+HMT Orchestra, NDR Orchestra, Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, among others.
