Nicaragua and the Dominican Rep. present credentials in Andorra

The Diplomat On Tuesday, 17 September, the ambassadors of Nicaragua, Maurizio Carlo Gelli, and the Dominican Republic, Juan Bolívar Díaz, presented their credentials to the Co-Prime Minister of Androrra and President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, in a ceremony that began with the honors of the military band of France, in a cordial and friendly atmosphere held at the Palais de l'Élysée. The Head of Government of the Principality of Andorra is shared on an equal footing and in personal capacity between the Bishop of the See of Urgel, who is in Spain and to whom Ambassador Gelli presented the Credentials in November last year, and the President of the French Republic, with whom he has held an audience for the delivery of letters. Maurizio Gelli transmitted to Emmanuel Macron, the "fraternal greeting from President Commander Daniel Ortega, Vice-President Rosario Murillo and the Nicaraguan people", which were answered in the same way by the French president. They also exchanged topics of common interest for both countries, as well as continue to strengthen relations. For his part, Juan Bolívar Díaz conveyed to President Macron the greetings of President Luis Abinader, Vice-President Raquel Peña and the Dominican people, while committing to make every effort to continue strengthening the friendly relations between the two Governments and peoples. In 2021, Ambassador Díaz presented the Credentials to the Principality of Andorra, which attest to his presence with that country, as well as being the head of the diplomatic mission of the Dominican Embassy to the Kingdom of Spain; However, the official ceremony in front of the co-principality in France had been delayed, which has been crystallized this week.
