‘Los desiertos crecen de noche’: absurd reality in the Teatro del Barrio
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Teatro del Barrio (calle Zurita, 20) hosts, next Monday, September 9, Los desiertos crecen de noche (The deserts grow at night), a show that illuminates the known absurdity: a proposal with live music built with anthological pieces of José Sanchis Sinisterra’s Teatro Breve. Directed by Clara Sanchis and David Lorente, with interpretation of David Lorente, Clara Sanchis, Concha Delgado and José Luís Patiño, and the original music of Los Pájaros.

It is a microcosm crossed by humor, mystery and imagination, playing with the power of the word and its unpredictable traps, where the interpreters come and go from their instruments-keyboard, percussion, trumpet and voice- to their characters. The deserts grow at night allows the viewer to enjoy the vericuetos of the thought of Sanchis Sinisterra, tireless in the task of inventing new ways of approaching fiction, and of irony and humor unforged, at the mouth of a varied fauna of unusual characters, as fierce as helpless. Tickets can be purchased at this link.
