The new ambassador of Cyprus in Spain, Michalis Ioannou, has presented the Copies of his Letters of Credence at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Michalis Ioannou went to the headquarters of the Ministry in the Palace of Santa Cruz last Tuesday, where he was received by the introducer of ambassadors, Adrián Martín Couce.
Ioannou, who replaces Helena Mira in the position, has been the ambassador of Cyprus in Jordan, concurrent in Iraq, from October 2020 until his appointment to take charge of the Embassy of his country in Madrid.
Among other positions in the Cypriot Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he has been director of the department of Eastern Europe, Western Balkans and Central Asia.
