The Diplomat Per-Arne Hjelmborn has presented at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the Copies of his Letters of Credence as the new Swedish ambassador to Spain. Hjelmborn was received on Tuesday at the Santa Cruz Palace by the introducer of ambassadors, Adrián Martín Couce, with whom he spoke about "how to develop good bilateral relations" and "cooperation between Spain and Sweden in the European Union and NATO," as explained by the new Swedish diplomatic representative on his account on the social network X The new ambassador, who replaces Teppo Tauriainen in the position, was, until his appointment, director general of Trade at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Stockholm, and this will be his second stay at the Swedish Embassy in Madrid, since he was posted there, between 1999 and 2002, as first secretary. Throughout his professional career, he has also been ambassador in Brasilia and Kuala Lumpur and worked at the Swedish Embassies in Santiago de Chile and Beijing. At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs he was head of the Promotion and Internal Market Unit.
